Primary Bedroom- King
This room was such an easy update as you can tell when you compare the before and after. I changed the lampshades to a natural canvas instead of the formal shades that were on the lights. Funny thing, I ordered these from Amazon and they were flat. I’ve never seen flat shades that you have to construct. This was a first for me, but I love how they turned out.
You’ll notice the same curtains in this bedroom as in the living room. It was important to have a cohesive look since these rooms were open to each other.
I brought a corner table from home, one that I’ve had for many years, and Nicole performed her magic to make it look brand new, it fits the corner perfectly.
We repurposed the artwork from bedroom #2, added a few baskets to the tables, and brought in some Pottery Barn bedding for color. I must tell you, we both sleep great here. We can’t get over it. It’s so cozy and comfortable!
One thing that I look for when I travel is for USB and USB-C plugs and extra outlets. We are pretty techy and we always have lots of things to plug in. I’ve found a few helpful tools and I’ve added them to the condo in case others are like us. This device is connected to the window side nightstand. We have additional surge protectors, similar to this one, in several locations in the condo. We want you to have all of the plug options you might need!
Primary En Suite
We did very little in this area. This will be part of our year 2 plan. For now, we updated the supplies, repurposed art, and added a multi-bottle dispenser. I’m hoping this will be a plus for many of you who don’t like traveling with bulky shampoo and soap bottles. Part of our LUXE experience is not having to worry about bringing your supplies from home. We will see how well this works!
King Guest Bedroom
This 2nd King bed was a non-negotiable for us. We wanted a place where 2 families could easily reside and enjoy the space provided. We made a few changes in this room to create the vibe we had envisioned. 1. Small dresser instead of nightstand. 2. USB/C charging port on the lamp. 3. Plush Pottery Barn bedding with new sheets. 4. White (blackout) curtains. 5. Multiple outlets. 6. Dedicated workspace with shelving for clothes or additional stuff. 7. A flat screen TV can also double as a monitor. 8. Comfy Chair. 9. Skinny side table In this bathroom we updated a few additional supplies and installed another toiletries station.
4 Twin Bunk Beds
In this space, we spent more time cleaning out than anything. The closet was used as an “owner’s closet” and not for guests. There was a large dresser taking up floor space and other things that made the room seem bland and crowded. We found these great Pottery Barn duvet covers stuffed in a closet and knew we had to use them. We added new sheets, a repurposed picture from a friend, and threw in a pop of orange (our favorite).
We modified the closet for extra storage space for guests and also added pickleball supplies for 6 and extra sheets/towels if needed. There’s also access to the vacuum in this closet, as well as other extra supplies. Remember, we want you to feel at home!
